Sharon Kendrick's Biography
Sharon Kendrick fell in love, first with reading, then with writing and still believes that the pen is mightier than the sword (which sounds a lot more romantic than: The Word Processor Is Mightier Than The Sword!)
She wrote her first book at eleven and won three national writing competitions for poetry and short stories while still at school. She has had hundreds of jobs, including nurse, cook, secretary, photographer - but never felt she really fitted in. She mentioned this to her editor when she sold
her first book to Harlequin in 1987 and was relieved to be told, "oh, that's
okay - writers never fit it, they're always on the outside, looking in." She found this very comforting!
She is chaotic in all aspects of her life, except in writing and loses herself in the writing of her fast-paced, emotional and passionate romances. On her desk are always scented flowers, half-eaten chocolate biscuits and poetry books. She falls in love with each and every one of her heroes and
believes that the best stories are the ones which make you "live" the experience.
She has made numerous appearances on best-selling lists in both North America and the United Kingdom, as well as having her books translated into many languages. She plans to win a major award one of these days - but only if she can manage to rouse herself out of her chaos to actually enter one!
Reader feedback she adores and you can email her, or write to her via Harlequin.
